Investigation of attached macroinvertebrates in Baoan Lake was carried out during 1994 - 1995. Altogether 42 species belonging to 15 families and 32 genera were recorded. Among them were 11 species of oligochaetes, 18 species of aquatic insects, 9 species of molluscs and 4 forms of miscellaneous animals. The average densities of attached macroinvertebrates on each 1000 grams of Potamogeton maackianus, P. crispus, Myriophyllum spicatum and Ceratophyllum demersum were 1352, 1780, 788 and 162ind respectively; the average biomasses were 6.551, 0.979, 7.191 and 0.740g respectively. The length - weight relationships of Nais simplex (Naididae) and attached insect larvae (Chironomidae) were given: Nais simplez: Wj = 0.0186Lj - 0.0151 Chironomid larvae: Wy = 0.1615 Ly - 0.2615 The potential fishery production capacity of attached macroinvertebrates was calculated by means of energy conversion method. Result showed that this group of animals is capable of turning out annual fish yield of 53t from the lake.
